Bryan, Texas | Monday, August 21. 2023 — Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley would like to invite area youth ages 6-12 to register for an upcoming Dance Clinic. The clinic will be hosted by the Texas A&M Dance Team in the gym at the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley. This will be the first clinic for the Texas A&M Dance Team at the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley and we want to make it the first of many! Dance clinic registration is open now to all area girls and boys ages 6-12. Sessions will happen September 19 & 21 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Each session will be $25 each or $40 for both sessions. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley will be hosting additional sports clinics this fall featuring instruction by local D1 collegiate athlete volunteers. In addition, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley are also seeking volunteer coaches for both the Spring 2024 Youth Basketball Season and the upcoming youth basketball league. Bryan, Texas | Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - Local businesses Firme Fades and Vixen By Versey made some generous donations this week. Firme Fades, which is a barbershop, donated backpacks and school supplies to the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley! The backpacks and school supplies will be put to great use and the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley are truly grateful to Firme Fades for their donations. Versey Picone’-Paldo who owns Vixen By Versey hosted a Wax-A-Thon fundraiser event. Half of the proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley and the other half went to a friend of Versey’s who needs surgery to save his life. Versey donated $767.50 to the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley and that money is greatly appreciated! Bryan, Texas | Monday, August 14, 2023 - The Greening Law Group is in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley and they are hosting a snack drive. The goal is to collect non-perishable, individually packaged snack and drink items. For example, goldfish, granola bars, and juice boxes. The donations can be dropped off at the Greening Law Group Office. All of the donations made will go to the Boys & Girls Club for their year-round programs. The club serves 130 kids per day throughout the year! These donations will have an impact on so many kids' lives. The last day to make donations is August 31. So go make a donation as soon as you can!

An in-person appearance by the panda mascot will also make Panda Cares Day a very fun and unforgettable experience for the kids. In addition, the local Panda Express will also be providing brand-new books and other fun giveaways to the kids. The partnership between The Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley and Panda Express has an impact on the youth in Bryan, Texas.
To further enhance their support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley, on August 8, Panda Express celebrated Panda Cares Day with a one day virtual fundraiser which supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. 50% of pre-tax event sales on August 8th were donated equitably to local Boys & Girls Clubs and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For more information about Panda Cares: Founded in 1999, Panda Cares is the philanthropic arm of the Panda Restaurant Group. They are dedicated to serving the communities in which they operate by preparing food, funding and volunteer services to underserved youth, and disaster relief efforts. The Panda Cares Foundation is fueled by the in-store donation box program as well as the Panda associates and valued business partners. In 2021, Panda Cares committed to an $8.8 million Grant with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It was the largest single-year donation in Boys & Girls Club history.
